What are the membership perks?
We like to think it’s helping to provide consistent, and significant, funding for the booster club. The Roadrunner Club will enable the booster club to grant large dollar requests from student organizations or the Activities Office that we’ve been unable to in the past. That said – we want everyone to know their support is very much appreciated so we’ll also be offered the below perks members every year of their active membership:
- Two exclusive Roadrunner Club T-shirts (new design and/or shirt color each year with your annual donation)
- Name(s) displayed on the Membership Wall in the HS gym with the year you joined the club on display. It will say “Since 2025” for all new members and the renewal signs remain the same, with theirs saying “Since 2023” or “Since 2024”
- Name(s) printed in the new full-color sports programs
- Live in-game mentions at various home sporting events during the year
(Ex: 4-5 names are read aloud at the start/end of half-time)
How many spots in The Roadrunner Club are available?
50. We opted to make the name signs larger to better recognize the members who joined. Thank you to them all!
What happens if/when all the spots in The Roadrunner Club are full?
We will have a waiting list. When someone decides to non-renew their membership, we’ll contact to the first name on the waiting list and ask if they’d like to join. The process works similarly to the season-ticket process for sports. Depending on the size of the waiting list, we may consider adding a new Membership Wall.
Where are the names going to be displayed?
The high school gym and inside sports programs (printed and digital). The gym has four red rectangles will blue lines and small blue squares which are unique to our gym. These elements make the perfect frames for The Roadrunner Club membership walls. So we’ll put the names in each red rectangle with a large sign over them noting why names are posted there.
How do I chose how my name is displayed?
There are two styles of name. You’ll see both options on online or printed form. Select one. Then type or print your name exactly as you want it to be displayed. We’ll be copying/pasting names to prevent errors.
The name styles are last name only. Ex: THE SMITHS. Or first and last name. Ex: JOHN & JANE SMITH.
You can view both styles on the active Roadrunner Club Membership Wall in the High School Gym.
How are the names displayed on the memberhsip wall? Alphabetical? Can I choose the home-side?
We display all names in the order they are submitted. They will not be in alphabetical order. This prevents reorganizing all the names on the walls whenever there is a nonrenewal of someone’s membership. This is also how we’ll choose which membership wall the names are displayed on – first come, first displayed. We will fill the home side first (25 spots) and then move on to the visiting side. Ex: Name 29 will be displayed as the fourth name on the visiting side. We’ll have The Roadrunner Club Membership Wall sign noting your donation.
Meanwhile, the booster club is sponsoring sport-specific programs that are digital (and hopefully printed in the future as well!). A list of names will also be featured there as an additional way to say Thank you!
Is the $500 donation an annual one?
Yes. You can non-renew your membership for the following school year whenever you choose. Simply don’t resubmit the form and payment. Doing so means your membership perks will end. In other words, your name will be removed from the membership wall in the high school gym, the sports programs and the live-game mentions. You also won’t receive new shirts. If you’d like to rejoin in the future, your new sign will say the year you rejoined. It will not pick up from your prior membership.
Is there a split payment option for the donation?
Yes. We heard feedback that a split pay option would be helpful to our community. We now offer that in two payment windows. The first $250 donation is due anytime between Jan. 15 and April 1. The final $250 donation is due anytime between April 15 and June 1.
When does The Roadrunner Club reopen for new members?
Jan. 1, 2025, due to the new split pay option. We open the doors earlier now to accommodate this change.
Why does The Roadrunner Club have a donation window? Why can’t I join whenever I want?
Because a membership is only active for one year – we need to have a set standard to track that time frame. Otherwise, it would be an administrative headache. But we also need time to implement the perks for the members each year. That means designing and printing the shirts, confirming and producing the name signs for the gym, planning out when we’ll doing live game mentions through out the next school year’s events – you get the idea.
Why display the year we joined The Roadrunner Club?
It’s another way to say thank you. Many families take pride in supporting their local school and community. We want to recognize the fact that some of our families will be donating for 10 years, 20 years, maybe even 50 years! Won’t that be amazing to see when The RRC reaches those milestones?
Is there legacy option for The Roadrunner Club?
We are exploring this option. We understand that some families may want to leave a legacy donation to The Roadrunner Club as part of their estate planning. In this instance, an ongoing donation doesn’t fit. However, The Roadrunner Club – Legacy Donors is not specifically “live” at this time. If you’d like to persue this option, please contact us at I35boosters@gmail.com to discuss what you are considering and we’ll work with you to answer more detailed questions and explain our current plan regardling legacy donations.
